Have recently started getting ' Controls the DTS audio processing - stopped working ' as a critical error. I don't recall having any problems listening to audio so I don't know what is going on.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Firstly, perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Hello and thank you for your reply.
HP Assistant confirms drivers and software all up to date and I ran an audio diagnostics and found no issues. Windows update has an optional update for HP inc-Firmware -15.20.0.0 , should I download and install this regardless? As i am using only headphones I am using Realtek(R) Audio and the only thing I can find which mentions DTS is omen audio control. However I had to do a restart to install an optional update and I checked the reliability report only to find that the DTS audio processing stopped working at about the same time. I was then wondering if it throws up this event at the same time the PC goes into sleep mode or upon a restart?
Thanks

Thank you for posting back.
Let's try installing the Realtek High-Definition (HD) Audio Driver: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/omen-30l-desktop-pc-gt13-1000i/2100000185... which should also provide the DTS software:
Keep me posted!
