HP All-in-One - 24-dd0010

As the subject line states, my computer BEEPS one time at exactly 02:08 every single morning. I can not see any errors, no notices, no change in status of what is on screen, nothing.

I do leave the computer on regularly. This beep is when the computer has been on for several hours.

I have run diags, checked message boards, and searched the internet. Nothing.

Any ideas?

If the computer beeps hardware problems might exist.

Here are some basic steps that resolve beeping problems

  1. Turn off the computer,
  2. Remove the power cord.
  3. Remove any media from the drives (CD, DVD, USB, Memory sticks, etc.) and disconnect every secondary peripheral (Printer, scanner, etc.
  4. Reconnect the power cord,
  5. Turn on the computer

If this doesn't work

  1. Turn off the computer,
  2. Remove the power cord.
  3. Disconnect the mouse and keyboard, and then restart the computer.
  4. Reconnect the power cord,
  5. Turn on the computer.

The most common issues that cause beeping sounds are

  1. Heat-related failures: check for dust around cooling areas.
  2. Keyboard issues: ensure that no key is stuck.
  3. RAM or hard drive failure: check that memory and cables are properly seated.
  4. Motherboard Component failed.
