I am trying to find out if I can enable TPM 2.0 on my computer.  I have 12.0 GB Ram Intel Cor i5-4440 CPU # 3.10 GHz with 1.82 TB.  I don't want to purchase a new computer because I'm old and it will probably outlive me.  I have had this one for quite a while and it has worked GREAT!  Plus, I am not that computer savvy to transfer my info onto a new one.  However, I do have a lot of personal stuff on an external hard drive that I can just plug into a new one if I had to.   Could someone please give me some advise?  Thank you in advance.

HP business class PC's with Intel 4th gen core processors that have TPM 1.2 devices are not supported to have the TPM 1.2 firmware upgraded to 2.0.

HP consumer class PC's have no TPM security device at all and do not support a TPM security chip.

If you were wanting to do that so you can upgrade to W11, the processor is not supported either.

Processors must be Intel 8th gen core or newer.

If you are interested in doing an in-place upgrade from W10>W11, you would have to use a workaround that bypasses the W11 hardware checks.

IMHO, this is currently the easiest way to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11:

If you were wanting TPM 2.0 to play video games that require that feature, unfortunately you will need to buy a new PC has has full support for W11 (which will include a TPM 2.0 device as part of the W11 hardware requirements).
