24 MH

I have a 24MH monitor with built in speakers. I am running a discrete video card, an MSI GT730, which connects to the display via an HDMI cable. There is no specific driver available for my OS, so I am using a generic VGA driver, which does not support audio via the HDMI cable. I would like to toggle the audio input to the computer audio jack that uses a miniature phone plug (stereo) to drive the display's speakers. The on screen menu will not allow me to toggle the audio input source, rather it says "Audio follows video input". Yet there is an option shown on the screen for computer analog input, albeit inaccessable with the onscreen cursor.

Is there a way to toggle the audio input while retaining the HDMI video input? A secret combination of the monitor control buttons, perhaps?

Thanks,

Darth
