HP PRODESK 400 G6 MT

Hello all,
I'm having an issue with the HP Audio Controls app. I state that the PRODESK 400 G6 is unfortunately equipped with the Conexant audio chip.

Basically every time Windows starts it's like the HP Audio Controls application disappears! No popups when i insert a jack cable, no .exe related in task manager...

I have to look in the Windows menu, click on it (Audio Controls app is still there), wait 1-2-3 minutes (during which it seems it's downloading like the first time after installing the operating system) and after that the application starts. It stays in the background and when I insert a cable into a jack the popup notification appears normally. This until i restart Windows.

With Windows 10 the application worked perfectly... but even 11 for what i remember.

I saw that few days ago Windows Update updated several drivers that I believe are related to the sound card:

- Synaptics - SoftwareComponent - 1.0.0.41

- Synaptics - MEDIA - 8.65.319.200

- Synaptics - Extension - 1.0.0.16

I am not even able to say if the problem arises from these updates, I only noticed it today.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Promèthèe for the tip, unfortunately even reinstalling the driver directly from the HP site does not solve the problem. : (

It seems a problem with the application itself. It no auto loads when Windows starts, but if I launch it manually then it remains in the background as it should, until i shut down or restart Windows.

I will wait for some update of the app. However, in the meantime, other suggestions are welcome!

you should be able to uninstall updates from windows update..
if it's after that, try
then reinstall from the hp support page
