Hello,

 

We've had a HP e243m for a while that was working correctly and suddenly the sound stopped working.

I tried different things, like resetting to factory default in the monitor settings, connecting it to another computer, trying DP audio or with the jack. nothing seems to make sound come out.

Also strangely the firmware updaters from the HP website (the audio and screen ones) dont seem to work but that might be because the screen is connected to a windows 11.

 

If anyone has an idea i'm up for it !
