Unfortunately, we still haven't managed to get the audio to work. New drivers or not.

THe solution is SP149591 - new audio driver as mentioned above,

Understand that depending on your model PC or Notebook - check the drivers page for a new audio driver - the one I previously posted is for desktop G9s -

MS Update KB5032007 breaks sound on HP Elitedesk mini.  Like the entire audio system, even USB devices which install their own sound driver stop working.  Remove it, issue goes away.  Installing the above driver after that update goes on fixed it for me, thanks.  Interestingly, that driver download is not listed as a required update in the HP updates when you run the HP support tool.  HP, you may want to remedy that.
