HP ENVY TE01-
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys and gals, I'm back for more help and this time it isn't just me being scared to damage anything, it is me wondering if this will work at all. I only say that because I just saw another HP Envy post regarding sound blaster so now I am kinda worried.

I bought my HP Envy but the sound was horrible. I got a sound blaster card (Audigy Fx) to hopefully get my speakers to sound like they are supposed to but it is not going well. As soon as I installed the card and turned the computer back on, there was crackle coming from the speakers. I did notice that it showed the card in my sound device (no longer showing my on board?) so I was hopeful that once I installed the drivers all would be great. Nope.

It rebooted and now I show nothing. No sound options at all. I am ready to plug my speakers back into the old onboard plug and restart to see if I can at least get that back and going (as I have nothing right now) but are there any ideas on what I should/could do?  Please understand I am kinda ... old and not up on cpu's at all, but can follow directions. Just looking to get this thing right as the wife is gonna be major mad if I just cost us all this money for nothing. Ha

Thanks
