Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Suddenly my speakers no longer works on my HP desktop. i've bought a new speaker and audio still has red x icon in the sound icon on taskbar. Drivers under Device manager shows it is not recognized or has question mark. I tried downloading driver from hp website to fix audio but driver wont install when I do it. I tried running windows repair install upgrade but it failed. Any suggestion?
