Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My system corrupted so I had to reinstall Windows 10. It wiped all the programs off my computer.

Now, when I try to play audio in any form, it tells me no devices are installed. I went through all the virtual help processes and still couldn't find my audio speakers. I even went out and bought new speakers and installed them in the proper ports on the back of the computer... still no luck.

Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?  I'm using an HP Pavilion p7-1517cb PC, serial number MXU30305D5.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Ken

Hi, Ken:

You probably need to install the W10 IDT audio driver.

Tempo High-Definition Audio Driver (Original IDT)

6.10.6504.0

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71717.exe

Restart the PC after installing the driver.
