I've run thru all the diagnostics and the microphone can hear me when I test it on just the laptop. But, when I try to test it on Zoom or other online platforms, it cannot hear me at all. I've followed HP Support's direction to enable apps to use the microphone. I have done all the steps I can find. Still nothing. Anybody else still having issues?

Hi@Karen177,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing Microphone issues with the HP Pavilion Laptop.
I have a few recommendations
- Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
- Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
- Check with alternate headphones if it works fine.
- Try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check it.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@Karen177 -- within the ZOOM app, confirm that the "audio" setting is configured to use your microphone, not some other "audio" device that may be present on your computer, e.g., something connected to the "blue" audio-socket.
Your computer probably has "blue" and "pink" and "green" sockets, close together, on the back panel.
The "green" is for external speakers, the "blue" is for input from something like a vintage "cassette-deck", and the "pink" is for microphone input.
