as @Dvortex is out of the office, I'm replying to you. You've been fabulous to work with considering your superb technical skills, remarkable patience and great attitude. Kudos to you for that.
Do you receive an error while trying to install the HP UEFI diagnostics?

I'm not sure what good it will do to find a contact, since apparently HP no longer services my product, but if you can find me help I'd certainly appreciate it!
There is no error message, it just looks like it is in the process of installing with the green progress bar 3/4 full. It sits like that forever. I'm unable to cancel the task or close the window -- I have to turn off the computer to exit the task. A couple of times I've had a message box appear saying it was unable to be installed, & try again later.

I have sent you a private message with contact information for HP phone support for your region.
You may try to reinstall the audio drivers from this link. The beats audio may not work if the drivers are corrupt.
