Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

All of a sudden my 3.5mm headphone jack is not working on my HP-All-in-One-24-f0xx. I'v double check with numerous headphones and patch cords to to Mackie mixer system. Have checked all setting in volume and output selections.

Your system has a single "headset" jack.  I assume you are using an HP or compatible headset and not just a headphone.

I do not have your system and can only guess.

There are a couple of possible problems

-  Your system has webcam with microphone.  This is in addition to the microphone in the headset jack.  Possibly Windows has decided to use the audio built into the webcam instead of the audio of the headset jack.  Please check the sound input and output devices and make sure the webcam is not selected as input or output or both

- Make sure you have headset jack and not just a headphone jack. Apple and Android devices can have different electrical assignments to the same size jack.

- jack broken check warranty here

- replace with USB audio.  If your headset still works then get a USB to 3.5in jack audio converter  for use with headset.  Be sure to disable existing audio by with a BIOS setting.  You might also check to see if someone disabled audio in the bios.

Did this problem show after a Microsoft Update?  After an HP update such as bios?  After doing a  webcam zoom or skip calll?

'm actually using the analog jack to run audio control to Mackie Mixer for studio control. Does the advice apply?

All of the above apply except you only need a USB to line out as Mackie Mixer does not make use of microphone unless I am mistaken. Soundblaster has one that does 24-bit 96khz playback but other options include headphoine + mic + line-out

Be sure to check reviews.

My best recollection is after power outage from Hurricane Ian. Once it rebooted, I had noticed the audio output from the 3.5mm jack was no longer working. I do have system plugged into surge protection.  I use the jack to run output from jack to Mackie mixer, so I have control from the board. I may have to send in for repair.

Is there an alternative to run output back to Mackie board input? I've checked all audio/camera devices and find no problems
