Hp omen obelisk
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Right so i have a omen obelisk desktop. I have also got the omen headset 800. I know that the two are compatible with headphone:x dts. I've plugged the headphones in. How do use the the headphone:x setting/profile. I don't see a way the turn the option on or to tell ifs it's on already. So I use a program to do this?

Thank you

@SacredCenturion Welcome to HP Community!

There's no on/off button on the headphones, this is all there is (as per the image from the user guide)

Please ensure the headphone is set to default speakers under playback devices and recording, using the sound controller from the control panel.

The headphones should be compatible with all computers, regardless of the brand.

Hi I think you misunderstood. The headphones work i know that they are always on. What I am referring to is the dts headphone:x. Does it automatically use the dts simulated surround sound settong when plugged into the headphone:x compatible Jack on the front of the omen obelisk PC?

@SacredCenturion Yes, it should auto-detect, however, if it doesn't, I suggest manually installing windows updates so it could fix such issues:

  • Go to Start
  • In the search field, type Windows Updates

how to get dts sound from pc

  • Click on Windows Updates Settings from the search results
  • Click Check for updates
  • Install the latest Windows Updates

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
