What happens is when I use my headphones with my phone is can perfectly distinguish right and left. When I plug it into my pc (back side) I hear audio from both sides. This is the test I used with my phone and PC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTvJoYnpeRQ&t=103s

Then, use HP Support Assistant helps keep your HP computer in working order by finding updates and providing troubleshooting tools.

If the issue persists, uninstall the driver from the Device Manager.
1. Press Windows+X to open the menu, and choose Device Manager on it.
2. In the device manager, expand category "Audio input and outputs".
3. Under this category, right click on the drivers and click on Uninstall.
4. You may be required to confirm the uninstallation. Check the box next to "Delete the driver software for this device" and click OK button.
5. Restart the computer.
Now it should be working good!
