Hi @BLC98

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are facing issues with the Audio with your HP Pavillion is stuck on mute and you are unable to toggle. The bluetooth headphones was working fine eventually it stopped working. However it Could indicate the issue with the drivers, I would request you to please follow the steps:

Run Sound Problems Troubleshooter:

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Troubleshoot sound problems.
  • Select the device you want to troubleshoot, click Next to start the troubleshooter, and apply any recommended fixes.

Check Device and Driver Status in Device Manager

Reinstall Audio Driver:

  • Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall.
  • Choose Delete the driver software for this device and then uninstall.
  • Reinstall the driver using the Scan for hardware changes option in Device Manager.

Run an Audio Hardware Diagnostic Test

  1. Use HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows.
    • Visit HP Hardware Diagnostics to download the tool.
    • Perform an Audio Playback Test which checks the audio subsystem's functionality.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists with the Hardware results.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
