@Deliquescent -- headphones either come with a 1/4-inch jack (for home stereo systems) or 2.5-millimeter jacks (for iPhone and computers). So, if you avoid those 1/4-inch jacks, I think that ANYTHING will work.
Or, if your laptop has BlueTooth support, you could purchase wireless ear-buds that use BlueTooth.

Thanks for the information!
Please let me know which earphone is best for HP Pavillion14 x360 ( Earphone 2.5mm or 3.5 mm or any other).
It would be great if you can suggest the brand of earphone or headphone as well which is suitable for this laptop specifically.
Thanks !!

That is an impossible question to answer, for a few reasons:
1. I don't know your budget for purchasing headphones,
2. I don't know if you have tried several different headphones, to compare, and then to decide for yourself which sounds "best" in your own ears.
3. which earbuds are most comfortable to wear for an extended time.
3. whether you want a "gaming" headset -- having both headphones and a microphone -- if you are planning to spend a lot of money.
One famous brand costs about US $200: Beats by Dre
