I am also looking for the ALC888s updated drivers for the HP p6267c

I recently had a new hard drive installed and the audio is only coming out of the left side and no sub woofer.  My Altec Lansing speakers and sub use to rock!  Is there any legacy or updated drivers that work with Windows 10.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to try the Windows 64 bit driver from the link below that is good for Vista through W10.

oops HP ended support on this 11 year old PC, sadly.

how to load a w7 driver to w10 in compatibility mode,  see MS link click it.

or buy a new sound card.

or USB DAC

or well endless choices, for sound.

OOPS gone.

why not use HP official driver.  that way and not realtek that tells you not to use these on OEM PCs'

Glad the generic Realtek driver worked.

Since your PC is not supported by HP for W10, that one size fits all Realtek driver was your only option, since HP retired driver support for your PC as it is more than 10 years old, and there would have only been a W7 driver you could have used.
