Hi I have a problem with my audio and microphone, I've been doing a research how to fix it and all the questions I saw here in the hp community, they resolve the problem updating the Intel Smart Sound Technology, but I can't see it, even I used the the hp assistant support, also I tried to Install Intel Media Driver via Microsoft Update Catalog (following this page Fix Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) Driver Conflicts on Windows 11) but I'm not beeing able to find my problem

Hi @VladiMagdma ,

First of all, you need to validate whether hp webiste or device manager is supported for intel or realtek driver for audio or not accordingly, you can process for installation of driver or not

Verify Device Manager

  1. Open Device Manager:

    • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Check for Audio Devices:

    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    • Look for any entries related to Intel Smart Sound Technology or other audio devices.

Visit the HP Support Page:

Enter your laptop's model number and navigate to the drivers section.
Look for audio drivers and download the applicable driver for your operating system.
Install and Reboot:

Install the downloaded driver and restart your laptop to see if the issue is resolved.

Bios Update:

Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve hardware compatibility issues. Check the HP support page for any BIOS updates for your model.

Uninstall Audio Drivers:

In Device Manager, right-click the audio devices and select Uninstall device. Confirm any prompts.
Reboot Laptop:

Restart the laptop. Windows may automatically reinstall the default drivers.

Reset Windows:

If the problem persists, consider resetting Windows as a last resort. This can solve deeper software conflicts. Be sure to back up your files.

Hope this helps solve your issue.
