@ziuperi, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since you've deleted both input (microphone) and output (speaker/headphone) device drivers on your HP desktop running Windows 11, here's how you can restore them:

Option 1: Restart Your PC

Windows often automatically reinstalls missing drivers after a reboot.

  1. Save your work and restart your computer.
  2. After reboot, check if the audio devices are back:
    • Right-click the Start button → Device Manager.
    • Expand Sound, video and game controllers and Audio inputs and outputs.

Option 2: Use Device Manager to Scan for Hardware Changes

If restarting didn’t help:

  1. Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager.
  2. At the top, click ActionScan for hardware changes.
  3. Windows should detect the missing devices and reinstall the drivers.

Option 3: Download Drivers from HP Website

If Windows doesn’t reinstall them:

  1. Go to the HP Support Website.
  2. Enter your HP desktop model number.
  3. Navigate to Drivers & Software.
  4. Download and install the latest audio drivers for Windows 11.

Option 4: Use Windows Update

  1. Go to SettingsWindows Update.
  2. Click Check for updates.
  3. Look under Optional updates for audio drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
