Hi @HaseebShah,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect a microphone to your HP laptop, follow these steps depending on the type of microphone you're using.
For a 3.5mm jack microphone:
- Locate the audio jack: Find the 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack on your HP laptop.
- Plug in the microphone: Insert the 3.5mm microphone plug into the audio jack.
- Set as default:
- Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds."
- Go to the Recording tab, find your microphone, right-click, and select "Set as Default Device."
For a USB microphone:
- Connect the microphone: Plug the USB cable from the microphone into one of your HP laptop's USB ports.
- Automatic setup: Windows should automatically install the necessary drivers. You can verify the microphone in the Recording tab of the Sound settings (as described above).
For a Bluetooth microphone:
- Turn on Bluetooth: On your laptop, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices, and turn on Bluetooth.
- Pair the microphone:
- Put your Bluetooth microphone in pairing mode.
- On the laptop, select Add device > Bluetooth, and choose the microphone from the list of available devices.
Once connected, make sure the microphone is set as the default recording device.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
