Hi @Rocas1932

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

 Please follow these steps:

1. Check Volume & Output Device

  • Ensure the volume is up and not muted.
  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Open Sound Settings. Ensure the correct output device is selected (e.g., Speakers).

2. Update or Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • Press Windows + X, select Device Manager.
  • Expand Sound, video and game controllers, right-click your audio device, and select Update Driver or Uninstall Device (then restart your PC).

3. Run Audio Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Playing Audio, then follow the instructions to detect and fix issues.

4. Check Playback Devices

  • Right-click the speaker icon > Playback Devices.
  • Ensure the correct device is set as Default. If not listed, right-click and choose Show Disabled Devices.

5. Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install any available updates.

6. System Restore

  • Type "System Restore" in the search bar and choose Create a restore point.
  • Select System Restore and follow the prompts to revert to a previous working state.

Good morning,

Besides all I have said before, another problem is that HP does not recognize Windows 10 for my HP  PC.

HP goes up to Windows 8.

What will be if I install Windows 8 in my PC? In this way I believe will be a probability of installing Audio drivers and controllers if necessary.

Please let me hear from you.

Thank you.
