HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 24-ca1000i (4N599AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought this desktop all-in-one to upgrade from my laptop because I teach online music lessons via Zoom.  The microphone seems to pick up my voice okay but when I play the flute it automatically suppresses the sound to either nothing or a sound so low that it is unintelligible.  I was able to teach lessons on my previous HP laptop with no problems (must have original sound on for musicians in ZOOM).  This computer is suppressing the flute all the time (even in recordings) so there must be an internal setting that can be adjusted to keep the original sound, but I cannot find any advanced settings for the microphone. How can I stop the computer mic from automatically suppressing the flute?

I even bought a Blue Yeti X external mic and the same thing happened and I know other flute teachers that use this mic without problems.  The external mic added a second problem when I plugged it in it caused the original built-in mic and speakers to no longer be recognized (I spent a day with a Microsoft guy getting them back.  So my second question is: how can I have both the external mic and the built-in mic as options on this compute?  (so that I can also have a speaker (the Yeti only has a headphone, and it took out all built-in audio).  I have spent a lot of money to get better quality Zoom for my students (purchased Zoom would not work on the laptop without constant glitches) but it doesn't work.

If anyone else is experiencing this my temporary work around was to dial in and use phone audio, but that is not sufficient for the long run.

Please help this is my livelihood!
