Hi @Zorro28,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand the audio controls on your keyboard are not functioning as expected and instead are triggering a Microsoft Edge support page. There are several possible causes and solutions to consider:
Troubleshooting Steps:
Check Keyboard Connection:
- Make sure your keyboard is properly connected to your computer. If it's a wireless keyboard, ensure that the batteries are charged or the keyboard is properly synced with its receiver.
Reinstall or Update Drivers:
- Go to the Device Manager on your computer and find your keyboard under Human Interface Devices.
- Right-click on the keyboard and select "Update driver."
- You may also consider reinstalling the drivers by selecting "Uninstall device" and then reconnecting the keyboard to prompt a fresh driver installation.
Keyboard Settings:
- Check if the keyboard has any specific keys to switch between different functions (such as a function lock).
- Some keyboards have function keys that toggle between media controls and standard function keys. Make sure the correct mode is activated.
Update Operating System:
- Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date, as system updates can sometimes resolve issues with peripheral devices.
Check for Conflicting Software:
- Verify if any newly installed software might be causing the issue. Software that relates to keyboard customisation or shortcuts might interfere with the normal operation of media keys.
Reset Keyboard:
- If your keyboard allows, try resetting. This can usually be done by holding certain buttons simultaneously as per the keyboard model instructions.
I hope this will help.
Take care and have a good day.
