Product: Ryzen 3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed Roxio CD & DVD burning software in an older HP Pavilion Slimline computer and it works fine but putting the same software  into my new Ryzen 3 results in the error message "no recording device found" when trying to record audio.  What may be the cause of this problem?

What is your machine ? Does it have Optical   Disc Drive (or CD/DVD drive or ODD ?)  Many new machines now from all vendors do not have ODD.

It is an HP Ryzen 3 Model M01-F-1114 and does not have a built in disc drive but I do have an external USB plug in  CD/DVD drive.
