Hi @Raj1312,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 150 wireless mouse, purchased in January 2024, is no longer working, here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the issue and determine the next steps:
**1. Check Basic Connections
- Batteries: Ensure that the mouse batteries are properly installed and have sufficient charge. Try replacing the batteries with new ones to see if that resolves the issue.
- USB Receiver: Make sure the wireless USB receiver is securely connected to a USB port on your computer. Try plugging it into a different USB port.
**2. Check for Interference
- Wireless Interference: Wireless devices can sometimes experience interference from other wireless devices or electronics. Try using the mouse in a different location or moving other wireless devices away from the mouse and receiver.
**3. Test the Mouse on Another Device
- Different Computer: Connect the USB receiver to a different computer to see if the mouse works there. This helps determine if the issue is with the mouse or the original computer.
**4. Update or Reinstall Drivers
- Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices, right-click on your mouse, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
- Manufacturer’s Website: Check the HP website for any available drivers or software updates for your mouse.
**5. Check for Hardware Issues
- Physical Condition: Inspect the mouse for any visible damage or defects. Ensure that the buttons and scroll wheel are functioning properly.
- Clean the Mouse: Sometimes dust or debris can affect the performance of the mouse. Gently clean the mouse, especially around the optical sensor.
**6. Reset the Mouse
- Reset Procedure: Some wireless mice have a reset button or a pairing button. Consult the mouse’s manual or HP’s support website for instructions on how to reset or re-pair the mouse.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
