Hi @Lucky_1119

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Please try these steps:

1. Check Volume Settings

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Open Volume Mixer.
  • Make sure that the volume sliders for your applications and system sounds are also set to maximum.

2. Check Sound Enhancements

  • Right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
  • Go to the Playback tab, right-click on your default playback device (usually "Speakers"), and select Properties.
  • In the Enhancements tab, check if any enhancements are enabled. Try disabling them to see if it improves the sound.

3. Update Audio Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (right-click the Start button).
  • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section, right-click your audio device, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

4. Reinstall Audio Drivers

  • If updating doesn’t work, you can try uninstalling the audio driver:
    • In Device Manager, right-click your audio device and select Uninstall device.
    • Restart your laptop, and Windows should reinstall the audio driver.

5. Check for Windows Updates

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for any pending updates. Sometimes, audio issues can be resolved with the latest updates.

6. Run the Audio Troubleshooter

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter.

Also cleaning the speaker vents can help improve sound quality if dust or debris is obstructing them. Here’s how to do it safely:

How to Clean Speaker Vents:

Power Off the Laptop: Always turn off your laptop and unplug it from the power source before cleaning.

Use Compressed Air:

  • Get a can of compressed air (available at electronics or office supply stores).
  • Hold the can upright and use short bursts of air to blow out dust from the speaker vents. Keep the nozzle a few inches away from the vents to avoid moisture buildup.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

-Regards
