HP Pavilion 500-339 Desktop PC

my sound on my HP 500-339 does not work after clean windows 10 re-install   I tried using the virtual assistant, identified the right drivers after signing into my HP acct. rebooting after install.  Device shows up on Device manager but nothing shows up on sound in settings, and sound icon on task bar says my speakers are unplugged but they are plugged in.   Tried multiple times the above.  Any suggestions? appreciate it

Apparantly this is a common problem.

You should just need to reinstall the W10 audio driver and restart the PC.

Tempo High-Definition Audio Driver (Original IDT)

6.10.6504.0

Thanks very much Paul.  This was the solution.  i was trying to download Realtek and make it work ---  Should have tried IDT after Realtek failed.  I had a strong feeling the solution was something simple and obvious but totally missed it.
