After upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I’ve lost all audio on both Beats internal speakers or external speakers. My TouchSmart 610 says I’m not connected to the Internet even though I am successfully connected via Ethernet cable to my Comcast Gateway. Nothing I have tried gives me sound!

See if this IDT audio driver works on W10. Restart the PC after installing the driver.

Ok…here is my latest update…. Many TouchSmart 610 owners have had these symptoms as well….. no sound and although connected to the internet (both WiFi & Ethernet), it says I’m not connected but clearly, I am connected to the internet….I’m getting all my e-mail and all my web pages.
I just can’t get sound!!!!
I’ve tried reinstalling and updating the sound card and all the latest drivers…..but the problem still persists. Although it says I’m not connected to the internet, I am connected!
Other TouchSmart owners have had this problem too but I’m not sure if these two issues are related.
There might now be only 3 things left to try…..either go back to Windows 7 or reinstall Windows 10 (I heard earlier versions of W10 were corrupted)……or….maybe even try plugging an external sound card (about $18) into the USB port then connecting my external speakers into the external card (this would be a last resort).
Any further help from the HO community would be greatly appreciated!

Paul; thanks for the IDT Audio Driver to try unfortunately, it didn’t work. While the driver was loading, I got a flag that said: “The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted”. Any other thoughts?
