Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This has, or  had IDT HD  Audio Codec.  Sound systems say there is "no input device". Tried reinstalling but no change. Then Installed M.S."HD Audio Device" Still no Input. Sound panel displays Microphone and Line in but that they are "not plugged in"

What can I do  to get "input device" back?

My newer HP has Realtek  Audio.  Would that be compatible and how could I get it for this PC.

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to see if installing the W10 IDT audio driver from a newer model HP desktop PC also works on yours.   Restart the PC after installing the driver.

I have  4 Audio devices on mine, even  pro grade DAC.

what  most be told in this subject

is all things connected to PC and how.

and all things inside added , GPU cards with HDMI ports.  no cards, added. GPU or SOUND

sound is complex when more that one sound chip is present.  and can be cured with.

go here yet,  GPU  HDMI sound ,not used here. then OB not used, and DAC external USB. as 1 example.

also what does device manager show for SOUND.  (desktops can have even more, like USB head phones, with DAC inside and the same with Bluetooth phones , speaker and what not,  can on this PC plug all those in and get 6 or more sound device

in the above photo. and must be selected correctly for sure.  Ive no idea what is IN or connect to your PC, at all...  fully.

NO warranty answers by me.
