I installed driver updates in HP Support. There were two Realtek Updates. One, 1.0.9008.1, installed. The second, 6.0.9008.1, apparently did not. Although HP Support says I'm up to date, Windows says "A current driver on your PC may be better than the driver we're trying to install. We'll keep trying to install." The device driver history shows it's the 6.0.9008.1 that failed. Audio seems to be working fine, though.

Hello
could you give screenshots with this information visible?
If we look at the drivers page for the model you specify, under audio, there is simply:

it seems that the HP support app is installing an incompatible Realtek audio driver version for this HP AIO machine
are you sure that the v6.0.9008.1 Realtek audio driver comes from HP, iberm?
because I cannot find any 6.0.9008.1 download that originates from HP support (unless you can provide me a link to it)
