HP Laptop PC 17-ca3055cl

In December, I did the update to Windows 11 on my laptop and my internal speakers stopped working. I then reverted back to Windows 10 and my speakers started working again. This week my computer updated to Windows 11 again (I thought I had paused the update) and my speakers don't work reverting back to Windows 10 OR in Windows 11. I've gone through all of the steps with Microsoft live support and all of the steps with HP virtual support and it's still not working. I can use bluetooth speakers/headphones and use the audio jack to plug in speakers and the sound works fine. It's simply the internal speakers not working with the new update. Any solutions that I haven't already tried?

I see the audio driver for your device is Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.9054.1, and indeed that version is not available on the Microsoft Update Catalog website for Windows 11 either.

Show your Hardware ID by opening *Device Manager*, then In the Sound, video, and game controllers section, right-click, click properties, then on the details tab see *matching device ID*.

This is what is says. HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0236&SUBSYS_103C879C   what should I try next? I don't know why it won't let me sign into my account with the same name as before.

6.0.9761.1 (HDXACPHPNB.INF)

How to install it, extract the files into one folder, after extracting the .inf file, just delete it.

Via 'device manager', click the "Add drivers" icon and navigate to the folder above.

Let me know the results.

just keep the .inf file with the name HDXACPHPNB.inf only, delete the others, it's okay.

Hello! This system is so frustrating! I have to create a new screen name every time I log in.

Anyway, thank you for your help.  I tried that and there is still no sound coming out. I didn't see your second message at first so I had all of the drivers updated that I had downloaded in that cabinet you shared. Do you think that could be the problem? Should I undo that somehow and then try again with just the one  you sent in the second message? Thank you!

My second message is just this actually, only the info with that name is not deleted, other info is not needed.

After you extract the .cab file, there will be many .inf files, just use them to save storage space, so that there are no useless driver registries for your laptop's sound card hardware ID.
