Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP LaserJet M110we printer not recognizing or validating the new toner cartridge (W1420A). 

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:


1. Remove and Reinstall the Cartridge

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the printer cover and carefully remove the toner cartridge.
  • Check for any protective seals or tape that might still be attached to the cartridge. Remove these if present.
  • Reinsert the toner cartridge, making sure it is seated properly.
  • Close the printer cover and plug the printer back in.
  • Turn it on and see if it recognizes the cartridge.

2. Reset the Printer

  • Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the cartridge validation process continues.

3. Update HP Smart Application

  • Ensure that your HP Smart app is updated to the latest version. Check for updates in the App Store on your macOS.
  • Open the app and see if the printer status updates.

4. Check for Firmware Updates  Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page.
  • Enter your printer model (LaserJet M110we) and check if there is a firmware update available.
  • Follow the instructions to download and install any updates.
