Nearly one month ago, HP Support Assistant had an update for my Conexant HD Audio driver, bringing it to version 8.65.131.52.  Immediately after restarting the computer, the driver was offered again with HPSA claiming a failed install.  However, Device Manager and Windows 10 Reliability History both show a successful install.

Now, for three consecutive weeks, Support Assistant keeps offering the same driver, not recognizing it's installed and working properly.  So, I keep sending it to HPSA's garbage can to delete.  Windows Troubleshooter finds no issues and I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the driver and Support Assistant.  No solution.  The support web page for my computer is useless as nearly every driver listed there is grossly obsolete by several years.

Short of just deleting the driver update every week, does anyone have an idea how to straighten this out?  Thanks!

Yes quite easy...just ignore the Hp Support Assistant as its not relevant...If everything is in order and Windows 10 is reporting that you have the latest drivers...then you dont need to worry.

As a workaround you can try uninstall the HP support Assistant and reinstall it again if you want

@Grizzlys2k -- HP Support Assistant is glitchy and you're correct, it is not relevant.  The computer is working just fine.  Having already uninstalled and reinstalled a few times, I may just get rid of it altogether and not be bothered.  Thanks for responding.
