Microsoft Windows 11

Received my new HP desktop and everything works fine. I then installed my Sound Blaster Audigy FX sound card and the drivers. Sound is very distorted and or non existent. Says drivers are the latest. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on. Sound card worked great in my old windows 10 computer. Checked on Sound Blasters website and it is compatible with windows 11.

Hi:

I had the same exact problem after I upgraded my Dell Optiplex 7050 MT desktop PC to W11.

I had this model card I purchased from Amazon, and it worked great with the drivers from the Creative site, or the default W10 driver installed by Microsoft.

Amazon.com: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX PCIe 5.1 Sound Card with High Performance Headphone Amp...

I was unable to get the card to work properly on W11.

Some of the screeching out of the audio card was like scratching one's fingernails on a blackboard.

I finally gave up, removed the card and resorted to using the onboard Realtek audio, which works fine on W11.

So, it sits in a box in my spare parts cabinet.
