Sound only goes through the left channel of any audio listening device plugged into the headphone port.
I don't know if its a system problem or the audio jack is somehow broken, only that one day the audio just went mono.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the audio when you use headphones.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
Have you tested multiple headphones?
Meanwhile, I recommend you run the audio troubleshooter and it will automatically find and fix the audio issue.
Here is how it is done.
- Launch Troubleshooting by typing and clicking “Troubleshooting” in Windows search.
- Click on "Playing Audio".
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Is the sound working correctly from the PC speakers?
I recommend you wiggle the headphone jack port when the headphones are connected and check whether the audio comes through both the channels.
