Do I hook the speakers up via Bluetooth or other ways. No paperwork came with my computer on this issue and it says it comes with 5.1 surround sound compatibility?

Yes, most computers now ship without speakers
you must either connect it to the audio output on the back, or indeed in Bluetooth if equipped

or if your screen is also equipped with speaker (hdmi or cable audio )
