The HP Support Diagnostics Tool does NOT provide a Microphone Test ...

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It seems the FREE HP SUPPORT DIAGNOISTICS software download, doesn't provide for a MICROPHONE test ... at least not one I CAN FIND.

 

After installing a new .5 TB SSD and Loading a brand new Windows 10 (USB Stick) ...

I have NOW LOST all HP Multimendia capabiliy ...

What's worse, I've lost the "Internal IQ506 microphone" ...

    HP Support (Automated) does not really provide for Microphone related issues ... either to be TESTED or RESOLVED.

    The HP SUPPORT Software downloaded and installed, works well, but does not provide for a TEST facility for the internal MICROPHONE in the IQ506 AIO ... or none that I can find.  HELP!!

  DEVICE MANAGER tools are also inadequest in the diagnostics or remediation of this error/problem.  It reports all devices are working NORMAL.  Device Manager testing show volume set to 100% .. which I modified to 98% ... just as a test, no results, no microphone.

 

Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

Test for the microphone is not available

Best way to identify the issue is to check with the external microphone.
