HP All-in-One PC 24-df1000i (1W762AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I have a brand new All-in-one desktop with Windows 11 already installed. Everything is fine apart from the microphone input.

When using the testing check on settings it shows 3-4% if I speak normally and only 7-8% if I shout. I have followed all the various troubleshooting suggestions etc but nothing seems to change the input levels.

Hi@Ken2214,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP All-In-One PC the built-in microphone not working correctly.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Check with any alternate USB/Wireless headphones and check if mic works fine.
  • Try doing Reset PC Keep my files and check if it works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
