Hi @MAVIROSIE,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When you're experiencing audio issues during a Messenger call, it can be due to a variety of factors ranging from app settings to system permissions. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

**1. Check Device Volume and Audio Settings

  • Volume Levels: Ensure that your device's volume is turned up and not muted.
  • Audio Output: Verify that the audio output is set correctly (e.g., speakers or headphones).

**2. Verify Messenger App Permissions

  • Android:
    1. Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Messenger > Permissions.Ensure that Microphone and Camera permissions are enabled.
  • iOS:
    1. Go to Settings > Messenger.Ensure that Microphone and Camera permissions are enabled.

**3. Restart the App

  • Close and Reopen: Completely close the Messenger app and reopen it. This can resolve temporary issues.

**4. Check for App Updates

  • Update Messenger:
    • Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for Messenger, and update if an update is available.iOS: Open the App Store, go to Updates, and update Messenger if needed.

**5. Restart Your Device

  • Reboot: Sometimes, restarting your device can resolve temporary glitches affecting the audio.

**6. Check for System Updates

  • Android:
    1. Go to Settings > System > Software Update.Check for and install any available updates.
  • iOS:
    1. Go to Settings > General > Software Update.Check for and install any available updates.

**7. Check Audio Output Settings

  • Ensure Correct Output: Make sure that the audio is not being routed to an external device like Bluetooth headphones or speakers.

**8. Test with Other Apps

  • Audio Test: Test audio functionality with other apps or make a regular call to see if the issue is specific to Messenger or affects all audio.

**9. Reinstall the Messenger App

  • Uninstall and Reinstall:
    • Android: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Messenger > Uninstall. Then reinstall from the Google Play Store.iOS: Press and hold the Messenger app icon and select Remove App. Then reinstall from the App Store.

**10. Check Network Connection

  • Internet Stability: Ensure that you have a stable internet connection, as poor connectivity can affect call quality.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
