HP Recommended

I am having trouble with my USB Webcam. I plugged it into my new desktop and it worked fine, camera and integrated microphone worked as expected. Installed Standalone USB microphone to enhance meetings. Standalone USB microphone, (brand new) worked temporarily but now not working, and I cannot get microphone on Webcam to work either. I have done the following:

 

1.) Checked for and installed all Windows Updates.

2.) In Device manager, uninstalled Webcam and Standalone USB microphone

3.) Removed both devices from USB Ports

4.) Restarted computer.

5.) Plugged USB Webcam back in and driver loaded, System can access camera, but not microphone.

6.) Plugged in Standalone USB microphone and driver loaded, but it does not seem to be capturing any sound

 

So now I do not seem to be able to get any Microphone input from either my USB Webcam or Standalone USB Microphone.

HP of course is pointing me to their paid support, but I literally just received this PC new on Monday and I am just getting it set up. Webcam is about 6 months old (JIGA is the brand) and it works fine with my laptop. USB standalone microphone is brand new Tonor received this morning.
