the biggest problem is that even if I had to use the boot, the problem that also mentions latency mon happens totally at random: sometimes while I use Ableton Live, sometimes while I browse, sometimes every two minutes, other times never, but it doesn't have a constancy.

and i'm not seeing any latency issues popping/crackling with the onboard audio, granted i'm not using it as a main system but even with running a benchmark (pcmark) that uses real world apps it's solid so it may just be your audio card doesn't play nice with a z800 and that's not HP's fault as the system was out of warranty/service before you card was made

the usb problem actually remains, regardless if there is a sound card or not, so I don't think it's a card problem.
For a while it happened with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, which kept disconnecting, then suddenly it stopped.
Even this new usb card doesn't seem to fit the z800 very well, since the problem persists. I also tried to change the position where to attach it, but nothing, however it reports a problem with usbehci and disconnects everything for a few seconds.
But without this new card, nor the old one, everything seemed to work.
And regardless of whether or not something is attached, just the 3.0 card presence is enough to report the error.
However I still have to try to boot from an external disk with a clean install, as soon as I can see if the problem persists.
