I am having trouble hooking up my turntable and cassette player to the PC to download audio. I do have an adapter that connects the RCA cables to a USB port. I cannot get any audio through the speakers. Suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

hi
I don't know if this will encourage someone to answer you, but your information is not enough here.
You should indicate the model of your computer, which device you use..
just an adapter?
For this type of use you must use a special sound card, is that it?
Try to also indicate how you proceed, what are your audio parameters etc.

Thank you for your response, Promeethee.
My computer model is HP All-in-One 24 PC 24-cb0000a (3B5H5AV)
The adapter I am attempting to use is the DigitNow usb audio capture,
I am using a SONY STR-AV320 to hook up a Technics turntable and JVC dual cassette player,
When I hook everything up, with the DigitNow adapter, I do not hear anything coming out of the PC's speakers.
Again, Thank you for your kind response.
Regards,
kennylh

Ok
I think you shouldn't use the SONY STR-AV320 amplifier, it can complicate things for you for the connections
Just try the tape player
you must have sufficient connectors, in order to connect the cassette player to the usb device
To be able to hear in the speakers, you probably have to configure the audio parameters in a certain way, I did a test a long time ago, directly from an audio input, so no memory..
Try at least, with Audacity type software, or the one you own, just to record the audio source, if I understood correctly the goal being to record your cassettes in the computer
