Product: beats audio edition laptop

hi, trying to connect externsl microphone but its not popping up when i plug in to the usb portsl, nor is there any specific detailed steps available for this model specs. thanks

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Is this a Plug and Play Microphone? What is the model?
  • Did you check if it has to have a driver installed on the PC?

Check for Windows update

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

 

There are 2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports and 1 Universal Serial Bus (USB) 2.0 on this Notebook.

Try connecting the Microphone to USB 2.0 port and check.
