Hi all, I am trying to hook up my soundbar to an HP 750-405T and get 5.1 channel audio. I have an hdmi connection for my monitor, and realized I have a second HDMI port. Can I use this second port for the soundbar? Does it matter if the soundbar is in 1 or 2? The reason I ask is, if I put the soundbar in 1, I get audio that way, but no video from the monitor. If I flip them around, I get no sound. Which way is best? Thanks in advance for help. BTW, my computer is an HP 750-405T. I just recently upgraded it with an SSD.

No, both ports are HDMI in ports, when put sound bar in 1, it bypasses directly from machine to sound bar that why no video. When put sound bar to 2, you already have video on 1 and signals won't go pass to 2 or we can simply say you can't use daisy chain in this case.
By the way, currently you can only daisy-chain monitors that are equipped with DisplayPort v1.2 or Thunderbolt. You can’t daisy-chain via HDMI, USB-C, or VGA.
Regards.
