Hi @Hans281,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing an annoying automatic fade-in when playing music or videos on your HP OMEN 25L Desktop GT11, it could be due to a few different reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to address this issue.

Check Audio Drivers:

  • Ensure that your audio drivers are up-to-date. Outdated or corrupted audio drivers can sometimes cause issues with sound playback. You can update your drivers through the Device Manager on Windows.

Audio Enhancements:

  • Check if there are any audio enhancements enabled in your audio settings. Sometimes, these enhancements can cause delays or changes in audio playback. Disable them and see if the issue persists.

Third-Party Software:

  • If you have third-party audio software installed, it may be causing the issue. Try disabling or uninstalling any additional audio software and test your audio playback again.

Check the Audio Source:

  • Ensure that the audio or video file you're playing doesn't have any issues. Try playing different files to see if the problem is consistent across all media.

Check Playback Devices:

  • Verify that the correct playback device is selected in your system settings. Sometimes, if you have multiple audio output devices, the system might default to the wrong one.

Background Applications:

  • Check if there are any background applications or processes consuming system resources while playing media. These can sometimes cause audio playback issues.

Windows Sound Settings:

  • In Windows, you can also check the sound settings for any delays or effects applied to the audio output. Adjust these settings to see if it resolves the fade-in issue.

Hardware Issues:

  • There might be a hardware issue with your audio output. Check if your speakers or headphones are functioning correctly by testing them on another device. If the issue persists, you might need to contact HP support or consider replacing the audio hardware.

Operating System Updates:

  • Ensure that your operating system is up-to-date with the latest updates and patches. Sometimes, system updates can address audio-related problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi, updating the audio drivers by completely removing them first. My PC is updated reguarly, (win10 home version) but due to an update the very annoying audio fade in appeared some time ago.

Hi, @Alden4,

I'm sorry, i did not make myself clear.

The problem of the automatic fade-in was solved by removing all audio drivers first. Next I have re-installed the most recent drivers from HP software servers.
