dvd reader very slow

I have an HP Pavilion Desktop510-p030  with Windows 10. The reader is very slow. When I am importing songs into iTunes from a CD for example, it reads at 4x the normal rate. My old Pavilion slimline did times at 16-20x the normal rate. I thought this computer would do it much faster. Can anyone help me to get it faster?

You should confirm the pc model with product number

therefore Read speeds up to 24 for this model!
It may depend on the cd, or the software settings (except hardware issues)
We should therefore check in the iTunes settings if not something to modify
Personally I will test with another software to check if better or not!
If necessary I will look a little more about your software (I have not used it for a long time)
but it would be good to do the test with different software there are many in order to "rip" cd

You have the correct model but I don't see a product number on either the side or the back of the tower. The Cd I am importing is a store bought prerecorded CD.

If your computer is currently functioning you can find the serial number by using a simple keyboard command.

• 1. From your keyboard, press and hold the Ctrl+Alt+S buttons at the same time.
• 2. An HP System Information pop-up box will appear on your screen with your serial number.
