Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

have just recently purchased hp probook 430 g2, can not get speakers (which have just been unplugged from hp elitebook wherein it worked great).  But plug in same speakers to headphone plug on new computer (the 430) and all I get is dead silence.  What do I need to do to get external speakers to work?

@Ableal -- within Windows "Settings", search for "sound". Open that app. Scroll to the "audio output" section. Which output (internal speakers, external port) is currently selected as the "default" output device?

De-select the internal speakers.
