Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

HP Laptop 15s-fq5xxx this is my laptop. i have been using this for over an year but from last month something happened suddenly my microphone stopped working and whenever i try to open sound settings. the screen goes blank and flickers vigourously. i tried many things and still the problem persists. i tried updating my windows 11 and drivers nothing seems to work. i thought the problem is windows i wiped windows free of the system and i installed linux mint everything was good until i opened sound settings in linux mint then again same thing happened now i have no idea what to do. please someone reply.
