missing realtek drivers, no audio

It sounds like you're having trouble with your Realtek audio drivers on your HP desktop running Windows 11. Let's try to resolve this issue step-by-step:

Download the Realtek Audio Driver:

  • Visit the HP Support page to download the latest Realtek audio driver for Windows 11.

Uninstall the Current Audio Driver:

  • Open Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Expand the Sound, video and game controllers section.
  • Right-click on the Realtek audio device and select Uninstall device.
  • Confirm any prompts to uninstall the driver.

Reboot Your Computer:

  • Restart your computer to ensure the old driver is completely removed.

Install the Downloaded Driver:

  • Locate the downloaded driver file and run the installer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Reboot Your Computer Again:

  • Restart your computer once more to finalize the installation.
